Chapter 212: Chapter 212 Fighting Kartis Miller Final
"Grandfather, save me!" Kartis Miller shouted joyfully, overjoyed at the sight of his savior.
"Hmph, my grandson has always been gentle and avoids making enemies. Yet you dared to ignore the Kartis family's dignity and try to kill him. You may escape the death penalty, but you can't escape punishment. Come to the Kartis family and beg for forgiveness immediately, or I will exterminate your entire clan!" The elder's voice was filled with an undeniable command.
"Did you hear that? Hurry up and come with me to the Kartis family to beg for forgiveness," Kartis Miller shouted at Blaze Regret, smugly.
"Such noise."
Frowning in displeasure, Blaze Regret loosened his grip, causing Kartis Miller's body to plummet. He was immediately swallowed whole by a delighted Red Abyss Snake below.
"Miller'er!"
Seeing this, the elder's eyes turned blood red, and a chilling killing intent surged from his pupils. "Boy, I will remember you. If I don't kill you, I, Kartis Munki, swear I am not a member of the Kartis family!"
Flicking his finger, Blaze Regret shattered the scale into fragments. He sneered disdainfully. Others might fear the Kartis family, but his future goal was to turn the Kartis family upside down.
Kartis Munki, wait for me.
Blaze Regret's low murmuring voice quietly echoed atop the towering peak.
In the early morning, warm sunlight fell, mingling with the faint winter fog. Most of the trees in the Hildan Forest had shed their leaves entirely, while the evergreens were covered with a thin layer of frost. Crystal clear ice flowers hung from the branches, sparkling with radiant brilliance.
A large icy wing flapped gently, and a robust branch brushed against the Ice Control Irenix, crashing heavily to the ground. The hard surface dented slightly under the immense force.
Behind the Ice Control Irenix, a massive tree advanced, its dense roots moving swiftly in pursuit. The tree's leaves rustled loudly due to its vigorous movement.
The Giant Tree Leader, typically a high level warrior grade spirit beast, was now chasing the Ice Control Irenix, which had just broken through to the intermediate Warrior grade.
Sitting on a rock, Blaze Regret lazily overlooked the battle between the Ice Control Irenix and the Giant Tree Leader. He raised his hand and gently rubbed the fluffy head of the Red. The latter was busy stuffing a red fruit into its mouth, making its cheeks bulge.
"Without opportunities, breaking through is indeed troublesome," Blaze Regret said, lying on the rock and covering his eyes with a leaf. Lately, he had been seeking suitable spirit beasts for the Ice Control Irenix to challenge, aiming to enrich its combat experience and ensure a smooth advancement to the Imperial grade.
However, the progress was noticeably slower than he had anticipated.
Meanwhile, on the eastern side of the Hildan Mountain Range.
A team of shadowy figures walked slowly across an open rocky ground. Each person's chest bore a dragon symbol, marking them as members of the Draconic Spirit Hunting Group.
One member glanced warily at the figure ahead, Mon Dark, and quickly looked away, lowering his head. Ever since their leader returned from the Blazing Fire Spirit Tomb, he had changed drastically, becoming exceptionally violent. Disagreements often led to brutal fights, and more than a dozen group members had already died at his hands.
"Leader, the habitat of the Rock Horned Dragon Rhinoceros clan is just ahead," one member cautiously reported to Mon Dark.
Nodding slightly, Mon Dark strode forward. The ground beside him instantly cracked open, and a Rock Horned Python, composed entirely of stones, emerged segment by segment. Its nearly twenty meter long body was extremely terrifying.
Seeing Mon Dark enter the habitat of the Rock Horned Dragon Rhinoceros, the members of the Draconic Spirit Hunting Group exchanged glances and nodded. They then released their own spirit beasts, which began digging into the ground. Shortly, a deep pit appeared.
One of the members tossed a cloth bag into the pit. Inside the bag were deep red flowers, emitting a faint fragrance. Though the scent was enticing, the expression on each member's face was one of disgust. After burying the flowers around the edges of the pit, they quickly retreated as if avoiding some terrible beast.
"Hiss!"
A grayish white rock snake flicked its tongue. With a wave of Mon Dark's hand, the Rock Horned Python darted out, its bloody maw snapping shut on an unsuspecting Rock Horned Dragon Rhinoceros, crushing it instantly.
Seeing this, the previously slumbering Rock Horned Dragon Rhinoceros turned their furious gaze towards the Rock Horned Python. They clenched their fists and pounded on its body, the deep, resonant collision echoing across the rocky ground.
With a sneer, Mon Dark scoffed. Despite the Rock Horned Dragon Rhinoceros's strength, they were merely warrior grade. The idea of them harming his fourth tier Rock Horned Python was laughable.
"Boom!"
The Rock Horned Python swallowed the Rock Horned Dragon Rhinoceros whole and then whipped its tail, smashing another Rock Horned Dragon Rhinoceros into pieces, sending a rain of blood into the air.
Excitedly flicking its tongue, the Rock Horned Python coiled its tail around a silver white horn, bringing it to its mouth. A faint glow began to emanate from the rock horn atop its head.
"As expected."
Mon Dark's eyes glimmered with joy. In the main burial chamber of the Blazing Fire Spirit Tomb, he had obtained a treasure called the Radiant Stone Ash, a rare spirit material. When a spirit beast refined it, it could enhance itself by consuming relevant parts of other spirit beasts, thus rapidly breaking through. His first target was the Rock Horned Dragon Rhinoceros.
The Rock Horned Python's greatest strength lay in its rock horn. Any spirit beast struck by it at the same level would be grievously injured or killed. If it could be strengthened sufficiently, Mon Dark believed his Rock Horned Python would soon advance to the fifth tier intermediate Imperial grade.
"Roar!"
As the third Rock Horned Dragon Rhinoceros fell, an enraged roar, powerful enough to split stone and metal, echoed from afar, reverberating around Mon Dark's ears.
