Chapter 211: Chapter 211 Fighting Kartis Miller 3
Red slightly raised his face, feeling the terrifying destructive power contained in the thunderball. His glass like eyes narrowed gently, and three faint yellow flame streaks spun around his body, with a dazzling spiritual light blooming from the center of his forehead.
"Boom!"
The thunderball descended from the sky, crashing heavily onto the ground and enveloping Red's figure. For a moment, the space seemed to freeze, followed by a thunderous explosion. Blinding lightning shot out in all directions, flickering continuously in the area.
"Going against me ends like this," Kartis Miller, standing on the mountain peak, revealed a sinister smile.
"Whoo!"
However, in the next moment, a clear Cat cry came from the flickering lightning. Kartis Miller's smile froze instantly as he saw a faint yellow figure, trailing smoke, shoot out from the midst of it.
With a sun like mark shining on his forehead, Red sped up the mountain peak with astonishing speed, as if the explosion just now had no effect on him at all.
"What kind of monster is this!" Kartis Miller's face contorted slightly. Even a first tier Advanced Imperial grade spirit beast would perish under the Thunder Cannon, let alone a second tier. But Red had withstood it, giving a severe blow to Kartis Miller's previously unshakable confidence.
Seeing this, Blaze Regret's lips curved into a faint smile. Strengthened by Flame Breath, Red was no weaker than a second tier Advanced Imperial grade spirit beast. Coupled with his Flame Domain, it wasn't difficult for him to withstand what seemed like a terrifying attack.
However, some damage was inevitable.
"Whoo!"
With a step on the mountain peak, Red darted out like an arrow, clawing at the back of the Angry Thunder Eagle, who had no time to dodge. His figure flashed rapidly, like a faint yellow shadow, weaving around the Angry Thunder Eagle. For a moment, it seemed as if multiple Three Tail Sun Blazing Cats were flickering around the Angry Thunder Eagle.
Red's figure spun in mid air before landing on the ground. His paws, covered in some white fur, trembled slightly and finally gave out, causing him to collapse, exhaustion evident in his pale yellow eyes.
"Haha, so it was just a bluff," Kartis Miller couldn't help but laugh wildly, seeing the unscathed Angry Thunder Eagle. With Blaze Regret's strongest spirit beast out of commission, it was now up to him to decide how to finish off the latter.
In response, Blaze Regret only gave a cold smile.
Lying on the ground, Red struggled to lift a small paw and clenched it towards the Angry Thunder Eagle in mid air.
"Swish!"
With a flash of light, a pale yellow flame crystal pillar suddenly materialized above the Angry Thunder Eagle and, with a sharp whistling sound, pierced through its body. Immediately afterward, several more sharp flame crystal pillars manifested, swiftly and crosswise, embedding themselves into the Angry Thunder Eagle.
"Screech!"
Pierced by dozens of flame crystal pillars, the Angry Thunder Eagle let out a heartrending screech that echoed through the sky. It flapped its wings one last time before crashing to the ground like a bird with broken wings.
"Is this really just a first tier imperial Grade spirit beast..."
Standing on the mountain peak, Kartis Miller felt his legs tremble. Without thinking, he summoned his second spirit beast, desperate to flee.
Kartis Miller's second spirit beast was a Swift Thunder Butterfly, an eighth tier Advanced Warrior Grade spirit beast formed from lightning, known for its incredible speed and serving as his ultimate escape card.
"If you're courting death, you should pay a price; running away without consequences is too easy!"
Just as Kartis Miller opened the second spirit portal, revealing half of the Swift Thunder Butterfly's body, Blaze Regret's figure suddenly appeared beside him. With an icy grip, Blaze Regret lightly pressed down on Kartis Miller's shoulder.
Feeling the immense force on his shoulder, Kartis Miller's body felt as if it had plunged into an ancient ice cellar. Though the mountain peak wasn't high, only a few dozen feet, it was incredibly steep. How on earth did this guy get up here?!
"Bang!"
Blaze Regret's tightly clenched fist slammed into Kartis Miller's chest. The rapidly drawn spirit portal trembled and then scattered into countless points of light, causing the Swift Thunder Butterfly to naturally retract.
"You can't kill me! Do you know who I am? I'm from the Kartis family in the Imperial Center!" Kartis Miller turned his head, roaring ferociously at Blaze Regret.
"Such a familiar threat..." Blaze Regret sighed internally. Back in Veloria City, someone had taunted him similarly, but unfortunately, that person had been left crippled by him.
"Bastard, let go of me!" Seeing Blaze Regret's silence, Kartis Miller assumed the Kartis family's reputation had worked. A smug smile spread across his face. Even some Spirit Lord level experts had to show him respect upon learning his identity, let alone Blaze Regret, a mere Spirit Imperial.
"If you hadn't mentioned you were from the Karis family, I might have spared your life," Blaze Regret sighed again. His eyes turned cold, and pale yellow light surged on his clenched fist, which then descended fiercely under Kartis Miller's horrified gaze.
"Are you insane?!" Kartis Miller shouted madly, his eyes filled with disbelief. Why, why did this kid still dare to kill him?
"Buzz!"
As Blaze Regret's fist fell, a ripple of lightning expanded in front of Kartis Miller. At the center of the ripple was a fingernail sized scale, inscribed with incredibly intricate runes.
Immediately afterward, an elderly face appeared beside Kartis Miller, staring icily at Blaze Regret.
Who are you to dare kill a member of my Kartis family?" The old man's chilling voice seemed to come from the depths of the underworld, making the temperature atop the mountain drop significantly.
"It's not that I want to kill members of your Kartis family; it's that your Kartis family wants to kill me," Blaze Regret said calmly. Although he was startled by the sudden appearance of the elder, he knew it was merely a projection, incapable of displaying even a fraction of its true power.
