Chapter 107: Boss has Yin Wind
Chapter 107: Chapter 107: Boss has Yin Wind
Abigail heard what they said, paused, then suddenly pushed open a door and rushed inside. The few men behind her didn’t hurry anymore upon seeing this; they strolled over leisurely.
Their lewd laughter echoed through the entire second basement level.
Today, the hospital held a medical skills competition. Everyone was called upstairs. The second basement level was completely deserted.
The perfect place for murder and robbery.
The four men wandered like cats hunting a mouse to the door of the room Abigail just entered. They saw the big word “Morgue” written above and shivered instinctively.
The leader paused for a moment, then spit viciously on the ground. “Fuck, bad luck!”
No wonder they hadn’t seen anyone on this floor; it was the morgue.
“Olive, should we go in?” A timid yellow-haired guy shrank back a little and asked in a low voice.
“Go in, why not go in!” Before the leader could speak, a thug with a bandana sneered through gritted teeth.
Only then did the leader speak, “What are you afraid of, they’re all dead people. Just go in and drag that fat guy out. The boss said we could play with him however we want. Even if we don’t kill him, it’s fine; just take some footage.”
“But…”
“But nothing, do you think we’ll get a hundred thousand for nothing? Go in!” Yellow Hair still wanted to say something; his partner’s yelling shut him up. He shrank his thin body and obediently followed.
Once inside, all four shivered simultaneously.
Yellow Hair hugged himself in fear, “B-boss, there’s a ghostly wind!”
“Ghostly wind my ass, this is a morgue. Of course there’s cold air; otherwise the bodies would rot.” The leader himself was quite scared but put on a brave front to scold Yellow Hair.
But his words did have some effect. Yellow Hair wasn’t trembling as much.
“How do we search something this big?” The bandana man glanced at the enormous morgue. His earlier bravado was gone; he felt entirely uneasy.
None of them knew that the morgue in Sincere Hospital’s underground was this big. Just looking around, there were dozens of rows, with at least twenty bodies in each row. It was sickening!
“We’ll split up.” The leader couldn’t help but shiver. This morgue was really fucking huge.
“C-can we not split up?” Yellow Hair leaned close to his partner, almost sticking to him. The partner’s own shiver scared him badly. He turned and yelled at the silent big guy, “What the hell are you doing?”
“Coward.” The big guy was the most physically capable of them and had nothing but contempt for Yellow Hair’s fright.
The leader glared at him. “We’ll split into two teams.”
Yellow Hair clung to the big guy’s sleeve, “We’ll stay together.”
“Chicken shit.” Bandana man cursed under his breath, then impatiently pulled open the closest corpse drawer. He flipped it open to reveal a seventy-something old man with corpse spots on his face.
Yellow Hair jumped back. “Holy shit!”
The other three didn’t look too good either.
But the leader gritted his teeth. “Search! I’ll make them add extra money later!”
In the depths of the morgue.
Abigail listened to the four’s conversation, her face pale. Her head was no longer dizzy, but she only wore a thin coat and was freezing. She looked at the row of corpse drawers against the wall, fumbled for a while, and then gritted her teeth and pushed.
The four at the door were still struggling when they suddenly heard a noise and rushed inside. When they got in, they found no one at all.
Only a complete wall remained, with several corpse drawers opened nearby.
The four felt a chill run down their spines.
“She must be in this row. Search them all!” The leader’s teeth chattered as he gave the order, shivering from the cold.
The other three, now having a target, felt slightly better and began searching drawer by drawer.
Abigail hadn’t expected her gamble to pay off. The hidden mechanism in the morgue was unchanged. She looked at the dark passage ahead, breathed a sigh of relief, but the next moment her heart clenched once more.
