As he was singing, he saw Adele enter the booth taking the seat on the sofa. She had starry eyes looking lovingly at him for some reason. He only gave her a smile and continued.

It's like having a private concert, she felt his voice resonate deeply inside of her. He beckoned her to come closer and handed her the sheets. The Chorus was supposed to be sang together so there was no harm in trying it out together.

She was already familiar with it as she studied it extensively last day. He made way for her to stand and held the microphone closer to her face. After he gave her a cue they started singing together.

" Good, let's do it one more time. It's not right to be on the backseat, you have to take the lead so sing your heart out without worrying about me. I will match your tone." She nodded as they repeated the Chorus again.

She went forward and sang her verse, he followed with his own verse. It was surprising how well their voices meshed together. They both sang their heart out practicing couple of times. It was already good enough to be recorded.

~Lost in the echoes, of a love that ended too soon...~ they both ended the outro together. She hugged him and said," It's really magical! I didn't know you could sing this well!" She complimented him relentlessly.

" Thank you. I have been practicing." She patted her head and gave her a kiss as they both walked out of the booth together.

They spend hours together going through everything meticulously planning the final version of the song. Time passed, Kate and Nicole came to check up on them but seeing they were immersed in work they left.

Sometime in evening, Kate was having some tea that Nicole prepared. The retreat was good way to rest her body so she was enjoying leisure time but that didn't mean she didn't want to spend more time with Samuel.

" How long do you think they would hole up inside? It's like they completely forgot about us!" She said in a grumbling tone.

" I think these things take time. Why don't we prepare tasty dinner for them? They already skipped the lunch so when they come out they would be hungry!" Nicole didn't really care much about it. She was more concerned about her role.

" You are surprisingly positive huh? Don't you feel jealous when he is like this?" Kate straight up asked her.

" W-what? Why would I be jealous? It's not like.....I have anything to do with it." She almost said 'like' out part out loud.

" Do you want my help? We will be here for less than a week. It's best chance if we want to do something."

" It's alright. I know you only want to help me but I will be leaving soon. We will practically be strangers after few months." Nicole never thought she would open up to anyone before but Kate seemed like a good girl.

After talking about what happened in the morning, they surprisingly became friends. She could never be this direct with anyone else not even with Adele. She practically saw Adele swooning over Samuel for years now.

If she found out about what's in her heart wouldn't that only made her feel betrayed? Her best choice was to stomp out her feeling and get away from him so that she could finally forget about him.

" What? Does he know about it? Why do you even want to leave the family? Wouldn't it be better to just study outside and come back to work for the Rothschild family again?" Kate asked several questions because she never expected her to drop a bombshell on her.

" I didn't anyone yet except aunt Amanda. So please keep it a secret. I don't think anything good would come out of it."

" So you are giving up on him completely?"

" I-" She was about to say something when they heard the doorbell. They both went to see who came, it was the young priest Noah again. This time he came with one other person.

" They don't look good." Kate commented. She could see there was something wrong with them from their serious look. They already knew he came in the morning to drop off the produce that time, Samuel did warn them about the priest but they didn't believe him. Now seeing him again in their doorstep, they began to think he was right.

" I should go and see what he wants." But before Kate could warn him, Nicole opened the door exposing them. Kate knew she didn't have any other choice but to confront him about it. She went into protective mode and walked in front of Nicole with a uninterested look on her face.

From her observation when they visited the Church, he was awfully interested in Nicole for some reason. If he really tried to make a move, she would surely refuse his advances!
