Chapter 160: Chapter 157: The Deal



[3rd POV]

"It'd be best if we take this elsewhere, unless you want to deal with the DEO and Superman" Solaris spoke, which the man nodded to, knowing that it was only a matter of time before one of them showed up.

"Where should we go? There isn't many places that are hidden from Superman" Peia asked, causing Talia to smirk underneath her helmet, before replying.

"I think I can take care of that. This'll feel a little uncomfortable, alright?" Talia replied, the group furrowed their eyebrows in confusion, before a flash of light surrounded the area, as their eyes widened, and they disappeared from the real world.

Back in Talia's dimension, the group had reappeared instantly inside, the three unused to the form of transportation, groaning at the feeling, stumbling slightly as they regained their bearings.

After a few moments of regaining them, they began to slowly look around, as their eyes widened in awe. Surrounding them was something that was simply...incredible.

"Whe-Where are we?" Matteo asked as he looked at the large cliffs, and the beautiful skies above them.

"This is my personal dimension. A realm connected to me, and me alone. A place that no one can access unless I allow it, and a world that is imbued with just a few of the energies that I wield" Talia replied, smiling as she created a chair and sat down.

"And this place is a part of the offer I have for you. One that I believe you will be plenty interested in" Talia continued, as Bruno sat down, a set of chairs forming across from her.

"What is the offer?" Bruno asked, trying not to show the awe he felt at this place, and the hero's power.

At this question, Talia smiled "I wish to offer you a job"

"A job? Me? What sort of job?" Bruno replied with a raised eyebrow, as he wasn't exactly a good person, nor was the type to work for someone else. Not usually at least.

"Simple, I plan on bringing more people to this realm, including beings from other species. And when I do that, I need someone that can be a "Mayor" or "Peacekeeper" of sorts, making sure that things run smoothly when I'm not there, and I want you to do that job. I've also been working on some other...projects, including cures and treatments for diseases, and I believe your wife would be the perfect person to be the first user of it, when I complete it" Talia responded.

The man's eyes widened at the proposal, as it was not what he was expecting...at all. The idea itself was...alluring, especially the part involving cures and treatments for diseases, something that, with Talia's set of abilities, was not completely impossible in his eyes.

"What do you mean by "Peacekeeper"? Do you mean he'll run whatever town you make in this...place?" Peia asked, as she grew more interested in the prospect. She knew that if they took this deal, Talia would be the boss, and the one in charge, but it was better than anything they could have had in the real world.

"In short? Yes. It'll be a bit more complicated than that, as I'll be taking in all sorts of people from around this universe, and others. But you can think of the offer as a...Ceo of sorts. You'll be "Running" the town, but I will still be the owner of it, and the real boss. I'll be expecting certain things of you, but as long as you run it well, then you won't see me complaining much" Talia replied, causing Bruno to nod slowly.

"So I'd be the manager, while your the true boss...what sort of duties will I have if I accept?" Bruno asked.

"You'll be making sure certain duties I give them are being done correctly. I'll be helping with the production of small towns, in which you'll make sure they are taken care of, and the new ones are built properly. You'll also make sure there is no infighting and you'll be the one directly reporting to me, giving me all the information and doings of the day. I also was going to ask Peia to work with you, as I'm sure you two can do it well together. And Matteo...will be focusing on schooling, as I'd assume you'd want" Talia replied, which the two nodded to.

"And how would I even go to school? Cause no offense, but this place is pretty empty, even if it's beautiful" Matteo asked, causing Talia to chuckle.

"I plan on Homunculi or Androids with all necessary information for teaching, but until those are complete, I'll have one of my clones directly teach you. And before you two ask, I have knowledge in every single area Humankind has ever went into, and know the entirety of the combined knowledge of humankind, at least, in terms of science, history, math, art, and several other areas" Talia replied with a smile underneath her mask.

"Ah, and I must add, that you two will probably be getting some sort of powers, be it magic, or something else. And your power will increase in power" Talia added, causing their eyes to widen in surprise.

"Magic is real?!" Matteo asked with stars in his eyes.

"Yep, you see that huge tower in the distance?" Talia asked. At this, they all turned and slowly noticed it, going wide eyed, having not noticed it beforehand.

"That's the Tower of Babel, which is located over a Dungeon where creatures of all sorts are held. They're growing stronger just from being in this dimension, growing their own forms of magic within, and you'll slowly become the same" Taia answered, as she had recreated the Tower of Babel over the dungeon a few days before, wanting to replicate Orario to an extent. "Creatures? Is there any chance they'll become a threat?" Bruno asked, as he began to really think over the idea of becoming her "Manager" of sorts. And if he was to become the manager of this land, he'd need to know everything about it.

"Nope, I'm their God in practically every form. So their loyalty to me is absolute. They'll help you in any way you need it, should you bring my name up" Talia replied with a shake of her

head.

"And what of the amenities we need? Like water, electricity, internet?"

"I can recreate all of that easily, Peia. I plan on making an internet network in this place that will automatically connect to the internet of any reality I go to, and collect the combined total of the internet of that world, increasing its knowledge and resources every single time. And yes, before you ask, I can and have been traveling the multiverse. I am not even from this universe in the first place" Talia replied, causing their eyes to widen in surprise.

"That...explains a lot" Bruno muttered, as he remembered how Solaris sort of just came out of nowhere, and no one could figure out how or why. Nor would Solaris even tell them like Superman did. She was a complete mystery, one of the biggest in the world.

"Uh, so where are we going to live?" Matteo asked.

"Oh? So you think your parents will accept?" Talia asked, raising an eyebrow underneath her

helmet.

"Well yeah, your offer is...crazy good, not to mention it let's us have a fresh start. And plus, it's magic!" Matteo replied like it was obvious, as Bruno and Peia both looked at him, before letting out small chuckles.

"I'll make a sizable home for all of you, one that will be the start of the first village of this place. It'll take some time to get more people in here, but it'll happen eventually. And once we get enough people in here, we can begin the creation of cures for other diseases that I myself am not working on, or new forms of technology to improve the world, or whatever else you think can help" Talia responded.

Looking at each other, Peia and Bruno both looked to Talia, before speaking.

"We...Accept"

[Later that day]

Later in that same day, after ironing out the details, and making sure Bruno wouldn't betray her, in the form of the creation of a magical contract, that should it be broken, he'd forfeit his life, she had returned home. The contract had also been made to make sure she herself would treat them properly, even if it had no hold on her due to the amount of power she held. But it was the thought that counted, plus, Talia would never break it.

She had also shown them her real face, which they were surprised about, but...neither of them

knew who she was, so they didn't have much to say besides being grateful for the opportunity and the trust. And after an hour, a house was made for them, with it's own electricity and water, magic being a godsend for that sort of thing.

The internet would be made within the next couple of days, but not at the moment.

No, at the moment she was at the top of a cliff deeper in her dimension, looking at a couple of

notifications she had gotten.
