Chapter 697 - 691: Dual Fusion
Chapter 697: Chapter 691: Dual Fusion
“Another Semi-Fiend Avatar, it seems my luck has been somewhat poor this year!”
Gazing at the immense demonic figure in the distance that was unlike any ordinary being, David Jones couldn’t help but sigh.
“This year? Again?” Grau widened his eyes in surprise and gave David Jones a quick glance.
In the eyes of Emperor Beasts and legendary warriors, these so-called Demon Gods are beings that have stepped into the realm of gods but are entirely different from Immortals; they are a special kind of creature.
They are unpredictable, unobservable, possess infinite power, and have the ability to corrupt and mystify laws, requiring only a thought to descend, with their presence capable of instantaneously invading and infecting a Class VIII Legendary Emperor.
So much so that Blue Star’s World Will proactively cultivated Yggdrasil and barriers between heaven and earth to resist the invasion of the Demon Gods.
Every Class IX Immortal who has passed the tests of heaven and earth and succeeded in igniting divine fire to advance will receive enlightenment from Blue Star’s will. Grau was able to know this information thanks largely to the heritage knowledge from Tiamat in his bloodline.
This avatar of the Seven Definite Dead Demon in front of them, although a Semi-Fiend beneath the Demon Gods, still possesses infinite power and a terrifying ability to corrupt; Grau felt that with his current Class VIII lower-level strength, it would be very difficult to contend with a Semi-Fiend Avatar.
“Aside from Mother Scarlet, have you encountered other Semi-Fiends?” Grau’s dragon eyes showed a trace of hope.
David Jones suppressed the terror and unease in his heart with his Green Spirit Realm, and softly said, “Of course, Elder Brother Grau. Have you ever tried slaying a god?”
“Slay a god!!!”
Grau stared blankly at David Jones, his brain struggling to process it.
“Hmm, little brother here has done it. Want to try joining forces?” David Jones took a deep breath.
To speak frankly, was David Jones scared now?
Of course, he was scared!
But in times of peril, fear and trepidation are the most useless of emotions.
David Jones didn’t have a Holy Stone in his hand and couldn’t activate Hidden Dragon to break through the Divine Zone and escape, which meant he either had to slaughter the Death Demon Avatar and break through the Divine Zone, or give up and quietly await death.
“I refuse to die here!” David Jones’s gaze swept over Rainbow, Daphne, Lolo, the Gluttonous Beast, and Loona’s faces, before finally resting on Grau’s dragon eyes.
“Alright, alright, to slay a god!” Grau revealed a pleased smile, his Dragon Wings unfurled behind him, releasing the terrifying Dragon Domination unique to a Dragon Emperor.
“If we as brothers can survive this, how about we become sworn brothers?”
“Certainly, we will definitely survive,” David Jones clenched his fists.
“…” Rosalind Louise stared blankly at David Jones and Grau; seeing how they decided on slaying a god in just a few words, as if it were as simple as killing a chicken, her mind went blank and she felt an array of complex emotions.
“Indeed, the battle isn’t over yet, I cannot die here!” Rosalind bit her lip to stimulate herself with pain, and then her thoughts began racing, trying to find a glimmer of hope.
“Oh, you dare to resist!”
The pitch-black mysterious power of the Demon God danced and dwindled until it slowly took shape into a humanoid form of the Seven Definite Dead Demon.
Two pairs of thick, evil demon’s horns crowned its head: one pair slightly curved upward, while the other twisted to the sides. A red mysterious crystal was embedded in its forehead, its eyes were blood-red and its entire face was covered in purple demonic patterns.
The red muscles on its chest seemed to be living things, moving at all times; over its ferocious demonic claws, malevolent and mysterious scales spread, and from behind, a pair of streamlined demon wings, a mix of red and purple, could infect any creature whose will was not firm enough.
“Mysterious Beast Name”: Seven Definite Dead Demon Avatar
“Mysterious Beast Type”: Death type
“Species Level”: Legendary Emperor (???)
“Grade”: Class VIII middle-level
“Mysterious Skill”: ???
“Mysterious Beast Introduction”: A terrifying Mysterious Beast formed by the convergence of the will of the Seven Definite Dead Demon, possessing an incredibly frightening ability to infect.
“Danger Level”: Calamity
David Jones’s eyes flashed, and before he could make out much information, a sharp pain traveled through his eyes followed by blood seeping from the corners.
“What a terrifying infection ability!” David Jones covered his eyes with his right hand, feeling his mind overwhelmed with the wails of countless Mysterious Beasts.
“Boom!”
The battle erupted in an instant. David Jones had not yet reacted when a devastating blast wave exploded not far ahead of him.
“Don’t think of ignoring Grau!”
Grau locked eyes with the Death Mystery Dragon avatar, his deep blue dragon eyes emitting unparalleled Dragon Domination as a layer of multicolored armor slowly appeared over his dragon scales, his aura climbing higher and higher.
The Death Mystery Dragon avatar showed no interest in responding to the ants below.
If the Death Mystery Dragon hadn’t been such a waste and died too quickly, Its avatar could have soared in strength to the apex of Class VIII after the will descended, crushing the ants before it with a mere flick of Its arm.
But a strength level of mid-Class VIII is enough!
The eyes of the Death Mystery Dragon avatar flickered with a dark light, and streams of twisted death energy swirled around Its claws, before Its arm flashed.
“Puchi!”
The armor shattered, dragon scales flew, and Grau’s figure was sent hurtling backward at a startling speed.
“Sizzle sizzle!” Venomous gas billowed from the demon claws drenched in dragon blood.
“Merely a strong poison!” The Death Mystery Dragon had no intention of healing its injury, looking calmly towards David Jones.
If one avatar was destroyed, so be it. It needed to obtain the Pure Blood of Doom before that woman noticed, to break more seals and restore Its full strength.
Meanwhile, David Jones was transforming.
“Dragon Emperor Combined!”
The Gluttonous Beast burst into intense radiance, turning into countless fragments of the Rule of Mechinery that converged onto David Jones’s body.
In the next second, light flared, and a terrifying Mech that looked like the Dragon God Himself had descended, full of power, suddenly appeared.
“Not enough, this still isn’t enough!” David Jones’s hand, holding the Chaos Emperor Blade, trembled slightly as his gaze slowly turned towards Rainbow.
“Eeek!” In an instant, Rainbow transformed into a streak of light and merged into David Jones’s body.
Under Rosalind Louise’s astoundingly shocked gaze, David Jones, who had already performed the combined skill, merged again with Rainbow, and his aura skyrocketed to levels she couldn’t comprehend.
“Crackle, crackle!”
Amidst the sound of freezing, layers of flawless frost suddenly covered the gold-bronze turbines on both sides of the Mechinery Dragon’s neck, making the Dragon Emperor Mech’s sturdy chest display a mix of red and blue energy, and a Domination that could terrify a Class VII Overlord burst forth!
“After the double Combination, David Jones’s strength has exceeded that of my father!” A hint of surprise flashed in Rosalind Louise’s eyes.
But as she looked towards the cold and eerie Death Mystery Dragon avatar in the distance, the excitement that had just surged in her heart was replaced by an overwhelming sense of despair.
The reason was simple: the gap was too wide!
Before the formidable Semi-Fiend avatar, the difference between a Class VI King and a Class VII Overlord was almost nil, unless David Jones and his Pet could break through to Legend, only then would they have a chance to survive.
“Not enough, still not enough, this power could at best repel an apex Class VII Overlord, it’s nowhere near enough to threaten an Emperor, let alone confront a Death Mystery Dragon avatar!”
David Jones clenched his fist, feeling the heavy strain transmitted from all over his body, a glint of longing for power flickered in his eyes.
