The Rise of the Black Plain

Chapter 2845 Hell Lifelings in Oqia

Chapter 2845  Hell Lifelings in Oqia

Back in Zocarro, a group had just docked on the west coast of Oqia, arriving on this continent in a wrecked ship, a vehicle that had set off decades ago from this very city brand new, but now bore marks that hid its 'young' age.

The group on the ship was full of rust marks, cuts, and dents, but they didn't show the pessimism and regret that their vehicle would indicate.

Descending from the vessel via a temporary bridge, the crew couldn't help but smile at returning to the mainland after so long away, back to this land in a totally different situation from their departure decades ago.

Decades ago they were in a larger group setting out with ambitious goals: to reach the formidable continent of Uzira and establish bases in the richest of environments one could reach in Zocarro. Now they were back, having succeeded in their experiments, as far as possible, of course.

Part of the group had been lost and other new components had been added along the way, visible in the unusual formation of them entering that local port.

Formidable high-level Supremes now accompanied them, drawing the attention of the locals, who rarely saw such powerful individuals, even in this area where Supremes were more common than in much of Oqia.

But the group led by Leger was not there for trouble, but merely to pass through on their way to their actual goal, Examire, where the Armhands headquarters was located, about a couple of months' journey for a group with capabilities like theirs.

Before being approached by local Supremes, the group reached the port exit, where they split up.

"We'll wait for the next group going to Uzira here, Leger. We'll arrange a new ship while you're sorting out your local affairs." Said Diret, the captain of the ship that had brought this group, having once again overcome a difficult journey through the Violent Sea.

Unlike Minos' group, who could predict the future and know the best direction to take, their group had none of these abilities. Apart from the strength of the Hell Lifelings there to guarantee the group's safety, they had nothing but the experience of their navigators.

The journey over the last few years had been tough, with many moments when they had almost lost their way. But they had survived after tough battles and endured the worst phenomena that had hit them.

Leger greeted the navigator, wishing the group goodbye as he went back and forth from Examire.

His plans were to stay a few weeks at the guild's headquarters, make the situation official from the sect's current post in Uzira to the local post, and give the guild time to prepare to send a new group to the continent. All this, including the trip, should add up to about two years in Oqia, enough time for Diret to get a new vehicle for their return to Uzira.

But after saying goodbye to the crew's navigators, Leger, and the guild members heading for Examire came across Armhands' Generals waiting for them in the city.

"Seniors, we saw you saying goodbye to the Senior Diret. Are you by any chance Leger's group, sent by Commander Minos?" asked a level 115 alien, one of Armhands' 12th stage Generals.

Next to the newly promoted Supreme were some peak Sovereigns, Armhands' Generals just like him.

Leger smiled, not so shocked by the reception of this group. The guild post in Uzira, after all, had initiated communications with Oqia, having years ago sent out a notice about their group coming here.

"Yes, that's us."

...

Meanwhile, at Armhands' headquarters, on one of Examire's floating islands...

Kendrick was standing next to Segiel and Hollie, having just received a call from the guild Commander about a message coming from the west.

He was already aware of his father's situation in Uzira, having received a few reports over the last few years, and the last contact made by the guild post on that continent warned of how the group had reached stability in Uzira and the time had finally come to send a group to Oqia again.

This was a report sent shortly after Minos left Hell, so what they knew was from years in the past, before the group left the planet. But they were well-informed about the general situation involving that group, even if they didn't have the latest information.

Not only that, the most important thing for them were four points, all of which were confirmed by this latest contact. Minos and company were alive, the guild post was safe, Juma had been resurrected, and the black liquid had somehow been taken over by the group. These were the points of Minos' mission on that continent, and now, with the news, they knew Minos had once again succeeded in a guild mission.

Because of all this, the guild was more optimistic than ever, having already sent a group to receive Minos' envoys in the same naval city from which he had departed decades ago.

When he was called this morning, Kendrick imagined that this was a matter related to his father's envoys and went straight to the point by asking Segiel.

"Have my father's envoys arrived on the continent?" He asked as Hollie looked at Segiel expectantly, imagining that this was the case.

Segiel smiled as he shook his head and light blue hair. "Yes. They've arrived. Our group made contact with them and they're on their way here right now! A group of peak Hell Lifelings from the 12th stage are accompanying them." Nôv(el)B\\jnn

They were also aware of the Hell Lifelings!

Wide smiles appeared on Hollie's and Kendrick's faces, both seeing that they could go ahead with their plans and start sending family members to Uzira.

Kendrick in particular didn't want to go to the mainland just yet, being committed to helping the family from inside the headquarters. But Hollie wanted to get to know the world better and help prepare the route between Oqia and Uzira for the rest of the group to travel safely in the future.

Her other siblings weren't there today, but she was sure that they would choose to go to Uzira in the not-too-distant future.

"Perfect. I'll tell the rest of the family. It's time to get ready!" Hollie stood up, ready to run to Lily and tell her the good news.

Kendrick stood up too, and asked, "Have you told the Elders? What about the Supreme Leader?"

She became more serious, ignoring Hollie's departure. "Not yet. I believe that Minos' advances in Uzira will revolutionize our organization. So I've blocked off the information to talk about it with you first. You must prepare yourselves. Some Elders may see problems in the allegiance of the Hell Lifelings."
