The Beloved and Pampered Girl

Chapter 944 - 944 Never Had Such Good Intentions

Chapter 944: Chapter 944 Never Had Such Good Intentions

Jian Dan certainly knew the wound on the back of her hand was nothing serious, which is why she hadn’t bothered going to the hospital and had followed the police straight to the station.

The previously smiling Jian Dan, noticing Chu Liyuan’s face turning darker, immediately wiped the smile off her face. “Sizhe, what nonsense are you talking about? It hurts like hell.” Since the uncle was so nervous out of concern for her, she thought she might as well go along with his way of thinking.

After Sizhe bandaged Jian Dan’s wound, he left the interrogation room.

“Uncle, just go out and wait for me, I’ll be quick!” Jian Dan said to Chu Liyuan when she saw him lingering, reluctant to leave.

Only then did Chu Liyuan leave the interrogation room.

After the door of the interrogation room was closed, the officer across taking the witness statement slowly began to speak. “That’s your husband, right? He seems to really care about you!”

“Yes!” She hadn’t expected policemen to have such a friendly and amiable side. She always thought they were very stern!

“Are you sure your wound is okay? Sorry, I didn’t notice earlier!” If he had known about Jian Dan’s injury, he would have definitely sent her to the hospital first.

“No worries, it’s fine now; we can continue…”

About 20 minutes later, Jian Dan came out of the interrogation room.

“Uncle, I’m done; we can go now!” Jian Dan took Chu Liyuan’s hand.

When Jian Dan came out, Mo Mo and Qin Rou had already finished giving their statements and were waiting for her at the door.

“Jian, why did it take so long?” Qin Rou stepped forward to ask.

“Well…” Jian Dan turned her gaze to Chu Liyuan beside her. Pretending not to see, Chu Liyuan shifted his gaze away.

“I just had to make a quick stop at the bathroom, so I got delayed a bit!” Jian Dan did not tell them the real situation.

“Oh! We thought something happened to you!”

“Feeling relieved now, aren’t you?”

“Yes!”

Just as the group was about to leave, they were once again stopped by Liao Xingran’s family.

The three family members knelt down in front of them again…

“You’ve seen it, Xingran is in a very bad mental state. The things she’s done, she must have been compelled to do, and we haven’t done anything to harm you, so please let us go!”

Seeing this scene, Chu Liyuan was indifferent, having witnessed such scenes many times before.

Upon seeing this, Jian Dan slowly approached the three people.

“Haven’t you heard the saying ‘A child’s misbehavior lies in the failure of the parents to discipline’?

“Can you really say that you bear no responsibility whatsoever for Liao Xingran becoming what she is today? A child is born into the world as a blank slate, and what the parents write on that slate determines what the child becomes,” Jian Dan continued, “so she has become this way partly because of you.

“What right do you have to plead with me now?

“Since you failed to raise your daughter properly, you should now be trying to make it up to her, not complaining about her!” Jian Dan’s nature was to stand up for what’s right, even if the person in question was Liao Xingran.

“The loss you’re suffering now is the punishment you should endure, so I won’t feel sorry or anything of the sort, because I’ve never been that benevolent!” Jian Dan finished speaking and took Chu Liyuan’s hand.

“Uncle, let this be the end of it,” she said, once they were away from the three people.

“Right!” It seems his lass still isn’t cold-hearted enough!

Jian Dan didn’t need their gratitude; she simply followed her heart, doing what she believed was right.
