Chapter 116: Chapter 116: Exploring Vale
Chapter 116: Chapter 116: Exploring Vale
[3rd POV]
Turns out breaking the arm of another student was not something the teachers were particularly supportive of, especially when said parents were rather powerful, coming from a wealthy family. Thankfully they couldn't do much to Gwen, after she had healed the teens injury, making it as if it never even happened in the first place.
And after Gwen threatened to release the video of him publicly bullying a faunus and being openly racist, which was a PR nightmare for Beacon, so they only gave her some extra work and that was about it. She was also pretty sure some of the teachers were a bit supportive of her shutting him up, but not the method in which she did it.
The teen was...not exactly liked by the populace of the school. Mostly for his open racism, but also because he was a cocky arrogant douche, who also bullied the human students as well, basically anyone that was weaker than him, he'd bully. And he was pretty damn weak, but he was still better than a lot of the students with less training or funding than him.
Gwen couldn't give a damn about the teen and his background, only that he was bullying others so publicly, and all because they look different than him, which was...just stupid. They were in a world where Grimm could invade and kill at any moment, and people were still fighting over the fact that some of them were born with animal ears and some weren't. It was stupid, but Gwen knew that racism was a thing in all realities besides the stray few.
The other students she beat the snot out of, that were on Cardin's team, were not nearly as "Powerful" or rich, so they didn't matter much. That, and she only knocked them out with a switch punch, so it wasn't too severe of damage in comparison to Cardin, who had his entire arm bent the opposite direction.
So, Gwen got off pretty easy. And at the moment, she was in the main city of Vale, walking through the streets, Raven walking by her side. The others were back at the school, doing some homework and doing some more training, while Raven asked to come with because she wanted to see what sort of reading material this world had to offer, which Gwen was also a bit interested in as well.
They had already visited the local dust shop, and bought one of each type, which normally would cost a pretty penny for any normal person, but to Gwen, it was dirt cheap, considering she had infinite resources, or at least, infinite currency.
She planned on looking into the dust once they got back, but for now, she was just enjoying her time with Raven, as they walked through a local bookstore.
Watching her girlfriend peruse the books, she soon noticed the type of books that Raven was looking at.
"Oh? Are you reading romance books, Raven?" Gwen asked from behind Raven, causing her to jump as she swirled around, blushing at Gwen catching her.
"Wha-No, this is simply...research material. I wished to see the differences in literature from this world and ours" Raven replied, blushing at being caught.
"Well if it is romance, I at least hope it's a good one" Gwen replied with a teasing smirk on her face, knowing that the book was a lesbian romance, and a rather lewd one. Gwen didn't mind this or anything, as she knew that Raven was a bit of a pocket pervert, especially when it came to romance, and Gwen herself. She had felt the girls gaze on her thighs quite often. Raven was a thigh girl, Artemis a butt girl, M'gann abs, and Korra boobs.
Gwen was a part of the "I love every part of my partner" club.
...Anyways, looking over the books, Gwen hummed as she found a couple of interesting ones. There was a few on the applications of aura, and a few on the other dust types that her other books hadn't covered, and their uses.
"You got everything you want?" Gwen asked Raven, a few books in her hands as she walked over to Raven, only to deadpan when she found the girl struggling to hold what had to be 20 books or so, stacking comically high, covering the girls face.
"H-Help?" Raven asked, struggling to balance the books, causing Gwen to snort before flicking her wrist, as the books floated into neat stacks onto the checkout, which the cashier jumped at, before looking to the teen, realizing that she was a huntress and that must have been her semblance.
"Thanks" Raven said, slightly embarrassed as Gwen looked at her in amusement.
"Well, I'm glad you found so many books you wanted. But how many of those are romance books?" Gwen asked, causing Raven to blink before coughing, as she muttered a soft "Fo- Fourteen".
Gwen just giggled at her girlfriend and spoke "You're adorable"n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om
Raven huffed slightly before walking alongside Gwen to the counter.
A bit later, after paying for the books, the two continued to explore Vale together, going to some other stores that caught their eyes, and trying some street foods that they hadn't seen before. None of them were particularly great, but they did give Gwen some new ideas for dishes in the future, so that was a plus.
Raven had enjoyed the entire thing, as it had basically become a date of sorts, with the two exploring and eating together, and just enjoying the time. She had gotten spoiled by Gwen who had bought her everything she wanted, and in return Raven had given her some surprisingly open kisses.
With all that done, the two had gotten some ice cream, and were on their way back to Beacon, hand in hand as Raven ate her ice cream with a smile.
"Thank you for this, Gwen" Raven said with a small smile on her face, licking her dark chocolate and raspberry ice cream.
"Not a problem, babe, and there's no need to thank me" Gwen replied with a smile of her own, as they walked the streets, only to blink when she noticed a rather familiar individual walk by, an illusion coating their form.
'This feels cliche' Gwen thought, inwardly snorting as she noticed a certain dual color haired girl, who was pretty adept with her semblance that involved illusions.
'Now isn't the time to meet that one, but in the future we'll see. Perhaps I can get myself a cute little sister!~' Gwen thought with a grin, which Raven raised an eyebrow at, but ignored it, knowing that Gwen was probably thinking of something weird again.
Gwen had one last thought on her mind as they walked back to Beacon, and that was...
'Now...how should I make Neo my little sister?'
