Chapter 75: Do You Just Want Me to Get Married Like This?
“`
Abigail looked at the message, her face darkened as she dialed Rose Taylor’s number. “What do you want?”
“Abigail, what are you talking about? Auntie doesn’t understand.” Rose Taylor lay on the hospital bed, still wearing a face mask. Hearing Abigail’s words, she smiled smugly but sounded innocent.
“An hour ago, Jackson Taylor took Aunt Claudia from the hospital. What is your purpose?” Abigail was too tired to spar with Rose.
Rose heard Abigail’s uncompromising tone. “You really grew some wings, daring to speak to me like this!”
The old Abigail wouldn’t even respond like this, let alone speak in such a tone.
Really different.
Thinking of how this fat girl actually dared to lay hands on Clark Stone, Rose was extremely shocked. Could it be that after dying once, everything really changed?
“Thanks to you, I took a trip to Hades Hall. I saw through life. So I decided to live again.” Abigail retorted ironically.
“Ha ha, did Hades tell you when you’ll die again?” Waking up from the fear of that night, Rose no longer believed in ghosts or gods. She thought Abigail was just cornered by the matter of having a child, causing her to change like this.
Abigail sneered. “I don’t know when I’ll die again, but believe me, you’ll definitely die before me.”
“Fat pig, how dare you curse me?” Rose was irritated. She was only forty-six this year. Once Ruby married Piers, good days were ahead.
“It’s not a curse. It’s a fact.”
“You…” Rose was so angry that her face mask fell off. She ripped it off and tossed it into the trash can, regaining her composure. “You wanted to know my purpose for taking Aunt Claudia? Simple. Obediently get married for me.”
Abigail had anticipated this result, but hearing Rose’s words still made her eyes cold. “So eager to marry me off? Feeling guilty?”
“Who feels guilty?” Rose immediately retorted.
“You’re afraid I’ll accidentally reveal Ruby’s secret to the Piers family. So you want to marry me off first. Even if someday Master Brandon finds out that I’m Teddy’s mother, it won’t change the fact that I’m already a married woman, right?” Abigail asked, amused. She wondered whether this mother and daughter duo were too guilty, or too confident in her.
A 440-pound fatty like her, even if unmarried, could Master Brandon really fancy her?
“Are you too narcissistic, thinking you’re Ruby, can get married to Master Brandon just because of having a child? Ha, what a joke. When you say these things, did you first ask those fats on your body if they agree?” Rose lashed back sarcastically at Abigail.
Abigail didn’t get angry. “If you’re not worried, then why force me to marry? Or did you make some shady deal with the Stone family? Let me guess: a drug trial from Lincoln Pharmaceuticals went wrong, they need to pay a hefty compensation. Given Auntie’s nature, you definitely wouldn’t use your own money. And the Stones…”
“Shut up. On the 23rd, obediently attend the engagement party. Otherwise, prepare to collect Aunt Claudia’s body.” Rose interrupted Abigail. She hadn’t expected this fat girl not only to change her personality but also to become much smarter.
“I can promise you. But I want assurance that Aunt Claudia lives without worries. If I see a new wound on her or she loses weight after my engagement ends, I’ll immediately tell the Piers family the child isn’t Ruby’s. Don’t blame me for ruining Ruby’s dream of marrying into a top-tier family.” Abigail knew if she refused, with Rose and her daughter’s cold-blooded minds, who knows how they’d torture people.
She even believed they could do such harmful things.
“Are you threatening me?”
“Yes.” Abigail answered straightforwardly.
Rose gritted her teeth, but knowing Abigail was no longer the easily manipulated fatty, she could only grit her teeth and nod.
She feared Abigail really would go for broke.
