Chapter 42 Teaching a Lesson to the Great Prince of the Western Sea
Seeing that Ao Shun, the North Sea Dragon King, had already compromised and was about to retrieve the Yin Yang Taiji Furnace from the inner chamber, a loud shout suddenly came from outside the great hall. Sun Wukong's brows furrowed, and he looked toward the direction of the noise.
There he saw two imposing young men walking in—one clad in a black robe, the other in silver and white armor—both of whom Sun Wukong knew well!
The one in the black robe was the eldest son of Ao Run, the Western Sea Dragon King, the Great Prince Mo'ang of the Western Sea, while the one in silver and white armor was Ao Lie, the Third Prince of the Western Sea, also known as the White Dragon Horse from his previous life, who journeyed to the West to seek scriptures with Sun Wukong. Sun Wukong used to call him Little White Dragon.
What were the two crown princes of the Western Sea doing in the Northern Sea, and why did they interrupt Ao Shun from presenting his treasure? Sun Wukong heard it clearly; it was Little White Dragon, Ao Lie, who had shouted to stop them. Sun Wukong didn't know how to face this former fellow disciple, now a stranger, and his expression was uncertain.
"Uncle, you absolutely must not hand over the treasured furnace to this monkey!"
Little White Dragon Ao Lie walked into the hall, his eyebrows knitted in a frown, with a provocative glare at Sun Wukong. Now that he did not recognize Sun Wukong, he naturally did not know how formidable Sun Wukong was, nor had he felt the terrifying killing intent that Sun Wukong had released earlier. He thought, how powerful could Sun Wukong be? He was just a demon monkey.
Could he possibly compete with them, the Sea Dragon Clan, inside this undersea dragon palace?
Sun Wukong laughed, the hesitation in his heart completely dispelled by Ao Lie's arrogant words and disdainful gaze. What happened in a past life was in the past, and this life was different. In his past life, he was forced on his journey to the West to seek scriptures, which was when he met Little White Dragon Ao Lie.
But back then, the White Dragon Horse was not the arrogant Third Prince of the Western Sea Dragon Clan that stood before him now. There was no need for pleasantries!
"What was it you said just now, about not handing over the treasured furnace to whom?"
A dangerous smirk playing on his lips, Sun Wukong stepped up to Ao Lie, "Old Sun here didn't hear you clearly, say it again."
"I said, you can't give the treasured furnace to this stinking monkey... Pah!"
Before Ao Lie could finish, a blur flashed before his eyes and his face was struck hard. He was sent skewing into the air, crashing into the palace wall and making a large hole before tumbling out.
"Little brother!"
Mo'ang was shocked. He had only seen Sun Wukong's feet move slightly, and then Little White Dragon Ao Lie was sent flying, without any ability to resist. Could the gap between their strengths really be this big?
Stealing a wary glance at Sun Wukong, Mo'ang moved swiftly, jumping out through the hole in the wall created by Ao Lie, and shortly returned holding the unconscious Ao Lie, his face looking very unpleasant.
"Sun Wukong, are you implying that there's no one in the Western Sea who can stand against you?"
After handing Ao Lie over to the care of the North Sea Dragon King Ao Shun's crab generals, Mo'ang, the Great Prince of the Western Sea, walked to a spot about ten feet from Sun Wukong with a grave expression on his face and asked coldly.
"Oh, why does the Great Prince ask this question?"
Unperturbed, Sun Wukong replied, "Is it about the Third Prince? I've been pretty respectful. If it were someone else who dared to speak to Old Sun like that, I would have smacked them with my rod. I wouldn't have just used my foot!"
Indeed, it was Sun Wukong's kick that had sent Ao Lie flying. If he had used the Ruyi Silver-Hooped Rod, then Ao Lie's fate wouldn't be as simple as just losing consciousness; it would be fatal!
What Sun Wukong said was the truth, but to the Great Prince Mo'ang, it sounded extremely arrogant. With a flip of his palm, Mo'ang produced a trident club in his hand, and with a cold laugh he said, "What an arrogant Beautiful Monkey King. Let the Great Prince Mo'ang of the Western Sea teach you a lesson!"
"Old Dragon King, if I accidentally kill him, you won't hold it against me, right?" Sun Wukong pointed at Mo'ang and asked Ao Shun sincerely, but it was precisely this earnestness that nearly made Mo'ang's eyes bulge with rage. This was an outright insult!
"Die!"
Before Ao Shun could say a word, Mo'ang, unable to restrain himself, swung his trident ferociously at Sun Wukong.
"Bring it on!"
A flash of golden light in Sun Wukong's eyes, the Void-Breaking Divine Eye was activated, and Mo'ang's attack trajectory was completely visible to him. Dodging with a slight sway, he flashed a mocking smile at Mo'ang, who was looking on in shock. Wukong grabbed Mo'ang's arm effortlessly and flung him, along with his trident, out of the palace through the same broken wall.
"Too weak!"
A disdainful, cold laugh followed, reaching Mo'ang as he was thrown out.
"Bastard!"
Anger flitted across Mo'ang's face; he was known as the top warrior of the Dragon Clan of the Four Seas, and he was not used to being looked down upon like this.
"Sun Wukong, if you have the guts, come outside and fight with this prince for three hundred rounds!"
With a roar that resounded through the heavens, Ao Mo'ang turned and dashed towards the outside of the Northern Sea Dragon Palace. In the confines of the Dragon Palace, he couldn't unleash his full strength, and he intended to let this stinking monkey learn that provoking the Great Prince of the Western Sea Dragon Clan came with a price!
Inside the great hall, Sun Wukong turned his gaze to the North Sea Dragon King Ao Shun and pointed towards the broken opening, "Old Dragon King, just now I showed restraint out of respect for you, but it seems your nephew doesn't quite appreciate it. Well, don't blame old Sun if I don't hold back anymore!"
"Immortal, please calm down, don't be angry! Mo'ang is young and impetuous, and he has offended the Immortal. This king will apologize on his behalf; please don't take it to heart!"
Ao Shun, the North Sea Dragon King, hurriedly grabbed Sun Wukong. Ao Shun had witnessed Sun Wukong's strength, which completely overwhelmed Ao Mo'ang. Even if Ao Mo'ang revealed his true form and fought with all his might, he would probably be no match for Sun Wukong. If Sun Wukong killed Ao Mo'ang, how could Ao Shun explain it to his younger brother, the Western Sea Dragon King Ao Run?
"You stinky monkey, are you afraid of this prince? Come out and fight me!"
Before Sun Wukong could respond, the shouts of Ao Mo'ang, the Great Prince of the Western Sea, came from outside the hall.n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om
Sun Wukong burst into laughter, "Old Dragon King, this isn't about not giving you face. You've seen for yourself how arrogant your nephew is. If old Sun doesn't go out to fight, he'll really think I'm afraid of him!"
With that, Sun Wukong reached into his ear and pulled out the Ruyi Silver-Hooped Rod, which he turned into the size of a bowl's mouth and held in his hand, the bottom of the rod dragging on the ground as he walked out of the hall, "Oh, and remember to get the Yin Yang Taiji Furnace ready. Old Sun will be coming for it later!"
Ao Shun, the North Sea Dragon King, watched Sun Wukong dragging the Ruyi Silver-Hooped Rod and creating sparks as he left the great hall, his face twitching violently. He turned and sprinted towards his pill chamber. He had to get the Yin Yang Taiji Furnace ready quickly. Perhaps the monkey would spare Ao Mo'ang's life for the sake of the treasured furnace.
Jiao Demon King Long Chao, who had been silent by the side, simply watched with cold eyes. Seeing Ao Shun rush into the inner pill chamber, the corner of his mouth couldn't help but curl up in a cold, mocking smile. He was here to enjoy the show!
With a swift movement, Jiao Demon King Long Chao flew towards the outside of the great hall, eager to see just how capable his cousin, reputed to be the strongest in the Dragon Clan of the Four Seas, was, and how long he could last against the leader!
Outside the Northern Sea Dragon Palace, in the deep sea, Sun Wukong had already engaged Ao Mo'ang, the Great Prince of the Western Sea Dragon Clan. Sun Wukong placed one palm behind his back and held the Ruyi Silver-Hooped Rod in one hand as if it were a wooden stick, easily wielding it up and down without exerting any effort. He blocked all of Ao Mo'ang's trident club attacks.
After a furious assault, Ao Mo'ang hadn't even touched Sun Wukong's clothes, but instead his own hands became numb from the immense force transmitted by the Ruyi Silver-Hooped Rod.
"Bang!"
With a strike, Sun Wukong repelled Ao Mo'ang. Stretching out his left hand that he had kept behind his back, he casually dug his ear and glanced at Ao Mo'ang, "Alright, the warm-up is over. Mo'ang, old Sun won't be taking it easy on you anymore. You'd better be careful!"
"Dammit, who needs your mercy?"
Ao Mo'ang was furious. This stinking monkey was too arrogant, daring to look down upon him like this!
"Not needing it, you say? Perfect! Grow!"
With a light shout, the front end of the Ruyi Silver-Hooped Rod that Sun Wukong was holding suddenly elongated, stabbing towards Ao Mo'ang's chest. Ao Mo'ang hastily dodged. The Rod brushed past his side without hitting him, but before he could feel relieved, the lengthened Ruyi Silver-Hooped Rod suddenly swept horizontally, hitting Ao Mo'ang's ribs.
"Spin!"
Another light shout, and Sun Wukong quickly released his grip on the other end of the Ruyi Silver-Hooped Rod. The Rod spun rapidly, and its revolving end struck Ao Mo'ang twice in quick succession, sending him flying backward like a batted ball.
"Hit!"
"And another hit!"
Sun Wukong pointed with his fingers, and wherever he pointed, the spinning Ruyi Silver-Hooped Rod zoomed towards, batting Ao Mo'ang around the deep sea like a ball. In just a short time, his body had been hit by the Rod countless times; he felt dizzy and in agonizing pain all over. Even the strong physical body of the Dragon Race couldn't withstand such pummeling by the Ruyi Silver-Hooped Rod!
"You damned monkey, you've enraged this prince! I'm going to devour you alive today!"
Being batted around like a ball would anger even a Buddha, let alone a proud being like Ao Mo'ang, the Great Prince of the Western Sea. With a ferocious roar, his body suddenly grew massive as he transformed into his true form, becoming a colossal black dragon thousands of feet long.
His angry dragon roar echoed through the Northern Sea, stirring up the surrounding waters and forming whirlpools beside the black dragon's body.
"Roar~!"
Amidst the dragon roars, the whirlpools surged, rushing towards Sun Wukong from all directions without a single gap. With such ferocity, Ao Mo'ang sought to crush Sun Wukong into pieces. However, he seemed to have underestimated Sun Wukong!
"Wild Monkey's Frenzied Dance!"
"Let old Sun break it!"
