Chapter 2391: Conquest begins



Time passed quickly and it is time for the worlds to open.

Sam waited at the area where the portals are supposed to come. He came early at dawn, but the place is already bustling with people of all strengths and expertise.

The outers are also there. He also observed several groups of people wearing similar uniforms and such. The forces of the students' families, they are also here. Another thing he noticed is that a lot of people, who are supposed to be in first grade are now in second grade.

It seemed like they made haste to meet the criteria to join the conquest.

While Sam is observing everyone, he also felt several observant gazes land on him. He didn't feel surprised though. He knew why they are looking at him. He is still a target. He might not be target for being connected to the Hub anymore, although there is a good majority of people that still suspect him, they are not acting on the suspicion yet.

He is still the one who caused the death of so many second graders.

He basically crippled an entire generation of cultivators for these academies. Anyone who is worth their salt has died in the group combat of the tournament. As if that is not enough, the gods released the conquest now of all times. Their resent grew only deeper.

If given a chance they will definitely kill him.

He is sure that there are some special teams that will only focus on him and his activities.

While Sam is thinking, the portals soon appeared.

The elders made sure that everyone lined up properly without any trouble. One student after another was allowed to enter their desired portal.

The external people had to wait until all the students are gone. After much contemplation, Sam decided to pick a world with special conditions. Sam has checked the information provided on all the worlds and this one intrigued him a lot.

It is a world with only one planet. The specialty of this world is that it is in its dystopian phase. It is a cultivation world full of humans. There are no other cultivation species apart from the beasts.

But the planet is vast and most of it was originally occupied and controlled by the human beings. However, a bunch of humans of this place have reached the highest level they can reach in that planet.

And some dozens of old fellows who have been stuck at that top cultivation level which is the peak of divine plane initiation, formed a secret group and tried to find a way out. To break the ceiling they have been given.

In process, they did all kinds of stupid stuff and thus created the current dystopian age.

Since they neither have the knowledge nor the nature's cooperation to reach the next cultivation stage, they started experimenting with one resource that they abundantly had. The beasts.

Even though the humans occupied most land, they didn't occupy all the land. The some parts that are not conquered were under the control of the beasts and these few beasts who are at the same highest level as these humans are more powerful than their human counterparts.

This made humans go crazy and they started experimenting with the bloods, genes and bodies of the beasts.

They did all kinds of vile things and a few experiments flipped on them.

There are not many details on how they flipped and what has changed, but the end result is that most of the planet is now occupied by the beasts. There are only a handful of settlements in which humans reside an they are just focused on getting by.

It sounded like a fantasy story to Sam. On top of the interesting situation there, there is something else Sam is extremely interested in.

The special condition.

If the root of the problem is solved and the territory occupied by the humans is increased by at least fifty percent, and if someone conquers at least seventy-five percent of the planet before the first quarter evaluation, then that person will be awarded with a bloodline and constitution reward. The actual reward is depends on how good their conquest is. This special condition attracted Sam because of how specific and particular it is.

To gain this special reward, Sam needs to finish the conquest in the first three months. He has to occupy more than seventy five percent of the land in the planet. That means, all these places should be dominated by the forces that are controlled by him.

And he also have to push back these beasts and let humans establish themselves in more land. That fifty percent increase is vague. If humans only had an influence over a couple of square miles, he just needs to conquer some area and let them settle there. But if they occupy one fourth of planet, then Sam needs to conquer new lands worth one-eighth of the planet and help humans settle down there.

It is vague and hard.

There are no other special conditions. This place is not interesting to anyone else. The world is small. The people are few, so not much faith will be gained for their gods. Resources will be limited and it would take a lot of time to make this habitable with all the beasts.

Too much effort and too little rewards.

But Sam wanted to test this out and he is going in alone. Without any teammates. Seeing Sam's choice many of the students from other academies cursed out loud. They didn't expect him to choose this. But they had to follow him reluctantly.

Sam disappeared into the portal and reappeared, feeling a cold and swift breeze to his face.

He fell on the peak of a mountain. He could literally feel the clouds passing over him. Although it is cold, there is snow and such. This also happened to be a lone mountain in what looked like a vast expanse of a forest.

As soon as Sam appeared, he felt something closing in on him.

*SWOOSH*

A black colored hawk charged at him fearlessly. Sam smiled and his aura raged.

*CAWW*

The black hawk immediately stopped and hovered in the spot. His eyes that looked fierce and fearless suddenly looked distressed and despaired.

In this world the strongest cultivators are at the peak of Divine plane initiation. They are extremely rare and will be less than twenty. Even less considering how small the human population here is. Even if he counted beasts, there could triple that number.

That means, the Late stage of divine plane will be dozens, middle stage will be in hundreds, initial stage could be less than a thousand. The vast majority of the creatures here will be in

Astral plane.

The hawk is also one such creature.

Sam said with a smirk. The Hawk nodded hurriedly.

This is another reason Sam is sure about his progress in this world. In a world of beasts, particularly one in which majority of beasts are weaker than him... he can do whatever he wants and know whatever he wants.

It is his playground and no one can stop him.

Sam got a clear situation about the location around him. Unfortunately, there is no human

settlement or any traces of humans around here. The whole forest as far as he could see is the place full of all kinds of beasts. He also learned that this is an island. A vast one, but an island

nonetheless.

Judging by how ignorant the hawk is about the other questions he asked, it is separated from

the rest of the world.

"Well, let's start our conquest here then."

Sam said as he waved his hand.

*CAAWWW*

Sky came out and crowed at the sky with all its might. A sharp glint flashed past its eyes as it

crowed at the lay of land around him.

"I will leave this place to you.

If you find an opponent you cannot deal with, call for me. We will take care of it together.

From now on, you shall be the king of this island. Find a worthy successor and let's groom him

so that he can take over this place when we leave."

Sky replied and rose higher. Its aura spreading throughout the forest. Laying claim to this

forest and announcing the beginning of the conquest. The first surrender is from the weak

blackhawk.
