Chapter 465
C465 – He Really Died the Evil Ghost Was Fierce
Zhang Daoqian gazed at Zhou Jie and his three companions with a hint of mockery on his face.
“There’s no death without foolishness!”
Zhang Daoqian never interfered with those who courted disaster.
Ignoring Zhou Jie and the others, he slipped invisibly into the piano room.
Zhou Jie and his friends stealthily crept up to the piano room’s windowsill, peering inside with bated breath.
What they saw in the moonlit room was astonishing.
A figure in flowing red garb, with hair cascading over the shoulders, sat at a piano, fingers dancing across the keys.
But as soon as they laid eyes on the figure, they were spotted. The music continued, yet the figure turned, fixing them with a sinister smile.
The sight sent a shiver through Zhou Jie and his friends, nearly prompting a scream. They clamped their mouths shut, backed against the wall, and slowly slid down to a seated position.
Just then, a figure materialized before them!
Clad in red, hair billowing, the figure would have been striking if not for one terrifying detail—Zhou Jie and his friends froze at the sight of the figure’s feet, hovering inches above the ground!
In that moment, a voice, both mesmerizing and otherworldly, filled the air.
“What are you looking at?”
Frozen in place, Zhou Jie and the others dared not make a move.
Their silence was met with no mercy, as a chilling hand settled on Zhou Jie’s shoulder, sending a jolt of icy dread through him.
Shuddering with fear, Zhou Jie tentatively looked up, only to lock eyes with the figure.
The face before him was ghastly—pale, with a bloodstained mouth and a face crisscrossed with scars like a centipede’s trail, stitched together from countless pieces.
Zhou Jie’s nerves broke.
“Ah—!”
“A ghost!”
His scream pierced the silence, and he bolted upright, fleeing for his life.
The cry echoed far and wide, startling many.
Seeing Zhou Jie’s panicked escape, the other three snapped out of their shock, screaming as they scattered in all directions.
The red-dressed female ghost watched the four scatter in terror, her eyes brimming with unspeakable loathing.
“Hmph, men, not a single one is decent!”
With a look of revulsion, she flicked her sleeve, sending a chilling wind that split into four and swiftly overtook them.
Zhou Jie and his companions, now running in every direction, suddenly couldn’t control their movements. It felt as though something was yanking them from behind.
Their fleeting hope was now shattered.
She was indeed a ghost!
Regret flooded their hearts at that moment.
But it was all in vain!
The red-dressed female ghost turned and made her way back to the piano room, leaving Zhou Jie and the others paralyzed with fear, unable to speak, struggling fruitlessly.
With a mere gesture from the ghost, the four were lifted into the air and hurled back into the piano room, the door slamming shut behind them.
Inside, the red-dressed female ghost glared at Zhou Jie and the others, her eyes seething with bitterness. A tide of dark Qi then burst forth from her.
“You all deserve to die, every single one of you!”
Her scream unleashed the dark Qi that enveloped and invaded the four, consuming them completely.
From the shadows, Zhang Daoqian, unseen, witnessed the horror with a look of utter dismay.
“This ghost’s grudge is overwhelming; it’s beyond my power to contend with!”
Without a moment’s delay, Zhang Daoqian turned and swiftly departed.
Time passed, yet he still hadn’t reached the dormitory.
