Level Up: Voidwalker

Chapter 173: Enough

"The predicament you're in, Voidwalker, is no laughing matter," the Chaos Being said, its voice dripping with menace.

Atlas looked closer and realized the creature resembled a wendigo but with a more unsettling vitality. Its skin was a ghostly white, marred by dark veins that snaked up its arms, culminating in claws that seemed sharp enough to tear him to shreds.

The creature's grotesque features sent a shiver down Atlas's spine, but he forced himself to stay resolute. As he braced for the impending clash, a single thought cut through his resolve: 'This thing looks dangerous.'

With a casual shrug that belied his inner tension, he activated Void Sight to gauge the creature's strength.

[Chaos Commander]

[Run, foolish boy]

'No,' Atlas declared. 'I will kill this fucker and grow stronger.'

Without thinking, he slung three Void Bombs, followed by Void Lances, as the creature sliced the air, leaving behind trails of mana. The Chaos Commander dodged the spells, but the followers encircling him were torn apart in roaring azure flames.

'If I can't hit you, I will kill the others,' he thought with a smirk while sensing something. 'Here we go.'

Atlas quickly raised his blades to defend himself as the being attacked him so fast despite the fact he was quicker. It turned into a contest of speed versus power as he dodged many strikes; the rank difference was noticeable, but he wasn't bothered by it.

The Chaos Commander was surprised that Atlas was proactively attacking without giving him a chance to counter. He ducked to one side before using Void Step to vanish and strike at the being's back, causing it to stumble forward.

'Let's see you combat this fucker,' Atlas thought before he quickly cast Void Barrage that peppered the creatures.

Explosions roared with explosive fury, tearing through the seventy-first floor as it quaked under immense force. Amidst the chaos, he summoned Medusa, who emerged from a swirling portal with a thunderous crash.

She obliterated the Chaos Followers with relentless fury, her serpentine maw devouring those who dared to stand in her path. Witnessing the destruction, Atlas let out a booming laugh, his eyes ablaze with battle fervor.

He charged at the Chaos Commander, a menacing figure wielding twin blades. As the commander swung, Atlas met the assault head-on with Deepforge, the clash of their weapons reverberating through the air.

The second blade struck, but Atlas deflected it effortlessly with Void Guard, then unleashed a blistering Void Wave that surged forward like a tidal force. The chaos being staggered, overwhelmed by the relentless onslaught.

Atlas's strikes came in a ruthless storm, and his movements blurred into a whirlwind of afterimages. Each blow landed with crushing strength, leaving the chaos commander reeling as it started bleeding.

''Let's see how you handle this,'' Atlas muttered, his voice barely audible over the sounds of the battle around them.

Atlas activated Void Step, vanishing from sight in a streak of azure. The Chaos Commander's head snapped around, its eyes narrowing as it tried to track the sudden disappearance, but the creature couldn't find him.

Before it could react, Atlas reappeared behind the Commander, his blades arcing the air with deadly precision while infused with the power of the Void. The being roared in surprise as his swords sliced through the air, scoring deep, glowing gashes across its back.

Each cut was accurate and aimed at weakening the creature's formidable defenses. The beast staggered, dark tendrils of energy writhing from the wounds. ''You're too slow,'' Atlas taunted, his voice echoing in the Chaos Commander's ears.

The creature whirled around with surprising speed, its claws slashing through the space where he had been just a moment before. But Atlas was already moving again; he darted in and out of its reach, his blades flashing in a relentless barrage of strikes.

''Enough!'' it roared while using some powerful magic that Atlas felt.

It caused him to back off while casting ten Void Bombs at the Chaos Commander while Medusa picked him up to clear the area. Atlas wasn't done, and it was peppered with Void Bullets and Arrows, just an explosion that ripped through the dungeon.

The Death Serpent wrapped its elongated body around him to shield him from the shockwave heading their way. Atlas cast Void Guard over them, which didn't help much but blunted some of the damage.

They were hurled through the air, but Atlas landed gracefully on his feet. His senses, sharpened by the Void, warned him of incoming spells. Without hesitation, he stepped forward, his Void Infusion allowing him to slice through the magic.

'I love this spell,' he thought with a smile. 'It makes fighting stronger enemies a little bit easier.'

Atlas blocked the spells so quickly that the Chaos Commander was momentarily disoriented. He seized the opportunity and hurled Deepforge at the creature's head as a distraction. The being tried to evade, but he used Void Step and reappeared behind it to drive his blades through its back.

''Got you fucker!'' he said with a smirk.

The creature's surprise turned to shock as it realized that Atlas had summoned the blade he had thrown and used it to impale it. He leaned in and whispered in a voice full of malice, ''One day, I will kill the Chaos King and vanquish all of you vile creatures to the void for me to eat for eternity.''

Then, Atlas cut the being's head off with a mighty swing. The Chaos Commander's body dropped to the ground with a thud while the experience poured into him. Medusa rushed after the fleeing followers and ate them without much effort.

After the battle, Atlas and Medusa hunted the other Chaos Followers in the dungeon until they reached the boss. He was standing on the Death Serpent's head as her voice sounded in his mind, 'Somethings wrong master. The mana feels strange.'

''Yes, Chaos has defiled the dungeon, and I'm here to clean it up,'' Atlas replied with a determined smile. ''Once we defeat the boss, it will return to normal, and I will get more monsters to use in battle.''

Following that, the duo entered a massive arena, its towering walls sealing them in as the dungeon prevented any chance of escape. Atlas leaped off Medusa's head, landing with a graceful thud as a sinister voice echoed through the chamber.

"Little Voidwalker thinks he can fight me? Hilarious," the voice mocked, dripping with malice.

Atlas's head snapped toward the source of the booming voice. His eyes widened in shock as he saw a towering figure—'a giant!' he thought, his pulse quickening while scanning the incoming monster.

[Hill Giant]

[Chaos Touched]

[Are you fucking stupid! Don't you dare!]

'Go away, this is my fight, and I won't be backing away as I've grown stronger over the last couple weeks,' Atlas replied to the advice while readying his blades as he watched the monster.

It stood over twenty feet tall, resembling a grotesque version of a human. It had a single, enormous eye that glowed with Chaos Mana, and its body was built like a mountain, rippling with bulging muscles.

A massive sword rested in its hand, and though it wore shabby, ill-fitting, and worn armor, its sheer size and power made him wary, but Atlas pushed that aside and pointed Nightblade at the monster before declaring, ''You will die here and will become my minon, now shut up and fight!''

Following that, Atlas cast several Void Lances while sprinting toward the monster. Medusa joined him and roared before lunging at the Hill Giant and tangling its legs, which brought the brute crashing to the ground.

'Nice one Medusa! Keep it up girl!' Atlas dodged this using Void Step to appear mid-air before falling toward the monster's head, but it protected it with its hand as he stabbed down.

The Giant flung him away so it could deal with the Death Serpent. When Atlas saw this, he activated Call of The Void and summoned Big Momma, who crashed into the Hill Giant's face as she heard a fierce roar.

While the monsters were fighting, he used Void Arrows and Bullets to weaken their legs. But that's when smaller giants appeared, causing Atlas to turn his attention before summoning a pack of Savage Void Bears and Void Warrior Raptors that tore through the enemy.

Atlas turned his attention back to the Hill Giant and used Void Step to appear above and cast Void Lance but pumped the rest of his mana into it, causing it to triple in size before he sent it flying toward the monster's head.

The azure projectile shot from Atlas's hand with such force that it tore through the air, creating a loud sonic boom. As he descended from his leap, he summoned Theo, who appeared with a piercing screech, catching him mid-air.

Hovering with powerful wingbeats, Theo held him steady just as the spell struck the giant's shoulder. The impact was catastrophic as it exploded in a burst of azure light, and a torrent of dark blood splattered across the arena as the massive limb was blown clean off.

The giant let out a thunderous roar of agony, staggering from the force of the blast. Theo descends as Atlas exclaims with amusement, ''I did say you will die here and become my minion chaos scum. Now stay still and let me finish the job.''
