Chapter 104 It Needs To Be Destroyed
The group stood in silence, catching their breath. Despite their victory, the battle had taken a toll on them all.
"Where's Aleman and Aria?" Gareth asked while looking around.
"They went to deal with the corruption," Lilo replied. "I think that's why his power weakened."
With the Swordking's corrupted form crumbled into ash, a faint gust swept through the throne room, carrying the remnants of his darkened body into nothingness.
From the ash, a shimmering astral figure rose, looking exactly like the Swordking in his prime. His expression was no longer filled with rage or sorrow but one of peace.
He looked at the group with gratitude in his ethereal eyes. "You have freed me. For that, I owe you my eternal thanks."

The astral Swordking spoke again with a gentle and resonant voice. "Let my story be a lesson. Revenge is a poison that consumes all, leaving nothing but ruins in its wake. I sought vengeance, and I paid with my kingdom, my people, and my soul. Do not make the same mistake." He gazed upward with glistening eyes. "At last, I shall reunite with my daughter."
His form started to dissipate into glowing particles, but before vanishing entirely, he raised a hand and said, "Take these rewards. May they serve you well in your journeys."

The glowing particles formed into various items, dropping onto the floor in neat piles.
Aria and August had just arrived at the moment when the piles dropped.
"Aleman, you're okay," Lilo jumped into his arms.
"Of course I am. I see you guys finally finished up here," August voiced while patting her back.
"Thanks to you two dealing with the corruption," Gareth stated with a smile.
"Clearing the dungeon would have certainly been impossible if you two didn't pick that," Boris chipped in from the side.
"Oh well, this just shows that groups and differences in opinions matter," Aria stated.
The group immediately began to distribute the loot.
"Gareth, the sword's yours," Aria said, smiling. "It's perfect for a warrior like you."
Gareth picked up the Sword of Eternal Ash. His hands trembled as he held it. The weapon radiated power as its fiery edges flickered faintly. "This... this is worth millions in gold," he muttered. "If it has a retrieval option, it could go for a fortune in real life."
The rest of the loot was distributed evenly. August and Aria, having arrived late, were given items the group had left aside for them. However, August seemed disinterested in the items.
He had already taken a few things from the vault earlier and his mind was preoccupied with the fruit.
The solo player, who had been sitting silently through the distribution, finally rose to his feet. His aloof demeanor remained, but his sharp eyes locked onto August.
"Where's the fruit?" he asked bluntly.
August hesitated, then took the Fruit of Sin out of his inventory. Its dark aura glowed ominously in his hands. "Here."
The solo player stepped forward. "Hand it over."
"What?" Torin voiced with an incredulous tone. "We just fought tooth and nail to get this far, and you think you can just take it?"
"You'll have to hold on for everyone to come to an agreement on who gets this," August said to the solo player.
The solo player ignored Torin and kept his gaze fixed on August. "This fruit is a danger to everyone. It needs to be destroyed."
Aria furrowed her brow. "Destroyed? Do you have any idea how much we've sacrificed to get here? That fruit is one of the main reasons most of us even entered this dungeon!"
The solo player's expression darkened. "The Fruit of Sin is not a reward. It's a curse. If it falls into the wrong hands, it could wreak havoc in the real world. Its power is too dangerous to exist."
August clenched his fists. "It's not your decision to make. Everyone here worked hard to get this far. You can't just take it and destroy it."
The solo player's gaze sharpened. "I didn't come here to argue. I came here to ensure that fruit is gone for good."
Before anyone could respond, the solo player lunged forward with his hand reaching for the fruit. August swiftly returned it to his inventory, causing it to vanish from sight.

The solo player halted as his hand hovered mid-air. His calm exterior finally cracked as frustration flickered across his face. "You don't understand what's at stake. Hand it over, or I'll take it by force."
Gareth stepped forward, brandishing the Sword of Eternal Ash. "You're not getting it. Not without going through us."
The solo player tilted his head as his expression turned even colder and his face hardened like steel. "So be it."
With a flick of his hand, the entire room trembled.

Everyone, except for the solo player, was slammed to the ground, unable to move. The crushing force pinned them down causing their HP bars to reduce.
"Damn it!" August growled while struggling against the invisible force.
The solo player's footsteps echoed ominously as he walked toward August who could only see his boots."I didn't want it to come to this."n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om

The Fruit of Sin reappeared in mid-air, glowing darkly. The solo player reached for it... It seemed like time had slowed down at this moment as his fingers were only inches away from wrapping around it.
"No!" August shouted, summoning every ounce of strength to push himself up against the crushing weight.
Just as the solo player's hand was about to close around the fruit, a sudden energy blast erupted from behind him...
"What the—" the solo player spun around to try and dispel the attack but wasn't fast enough.
Threeezzhh~
A reddish arc of energy rammed into his chest, sending him flying across the air.
Drakos emerged from the shadows with a spiky red sword in his grasp. His maniacal grin spread across his face as he glared at the solo player who slammed into the wall up ahead. "I told you... this isn't over."
The atmosphere turned even more tense as the Fruit of Sin hovered in the center. The chaos threatened to escalate even further.
